Replacing missing teeth
Dental implants in Helsby
Dental implants are small posts placed in the jawbone to support replacement teeth. Depending on how many teeth are missing, they can support a crown, bridge, implant-retained denture or a fixed set of replacement teeth for one jaw.
Treatment starts with an assessment of your mouth, gums and available bone to determine whether implants may be suitable for you. A three-dimensional dental scan, known as a CBCT scan, may be used where clinically appropriate. If more bone is needed, your dentist will explain whether bone grafting is an option.
