Getting started
How treatment is decided
Whichever treatment you are considering, it begins the same way. An assessment first, then a plan you can read before anything starts.
-
Assessment
Your dentist examines your teeth, gums and mouth and reviews your medical history. X-rays may be recommended where clinically necessary.
-
What we find
Your dentist explains what has been found and which treatments are suitable, in plain English. You can ask as many questions as you need.
-
A written plan
If treatment is recommended, you receive a written treatment plan or estimate setting out what is proposed and the expected cost, before anything begins.
-
You decide
Nothing goes ahead until you agree to it. There is no obligation to accept the treatment that is proposed.
We see private patients, and we accept new NHS patients when we have room. Whether we do on the day you ring depends on how full the books are. Ask reception for the current position when you book. See our fees and payment plans.
Talk to us about your treatment
Whether you already know what you need or would rather a dentist took a look first, the next step is the same. Request an appointment and we will arrange an assessment. If you are in pain now, please call the practice rather than using the form. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
