Private fees

Private dental fees in Frodsham and Helsby

The whole list, on one page. Look up what you came for, then decide whether to ring. No form to fill in first and nobody asking for your number before they will tell you a price.

Where a fee says "from", it is a starting price. A small filling in an easy spot and a big one in an awkward corner are not the same piece of work. You get your own figure in writing before anything is booked.

The list

Our private fees

Grouped the way people actually ask for them.

Both need an assessment first, because neither suits every mouth. Braces and aligners and whitening are explained on their own pages.

Getting a price

How you get your own figure

A list can only take you so far. Your mouth decides the rest of it, so the number that matters is the one written down for you.

  1. An examination

Your dentist looks properly, takes X-rays if they are needed, and finds out what is actually going on rather than guessing from the outside.

  2. The options, with prices

Usually there is more than one way to deal with a tooth, and they cost different amounts. You hear all of them, including leaving it alone if that is reasonable.

  3. It goes in writing

You take the figures away and think about it. Nothing starts until you say so, and the price does not change once it is agreed.

Two things are not on the list above

Dental implants and Invisalign. Both are planned around one mouth and one bite, and the work involved varies so much that a starting price would mislead more than it helped. Dr Sinjab assesses implant cases himself and quotes from that assessment.

Read what is involved on the implants and Invisalign pages, then ring for an assessment.

Common questions

Questions about paying

The ones reception fields most often.

Can I have some treatment on the NHS and some privately?

Yes, and plenty of people do. Where a plan has both in it, your dentist has to put it in writing, say which items are NHS and which are private, and give the cost of each. You sign it and keep a copy. That is an NHS rule, not a courtesy.

Why does a first appointment cost more than a check-up?

Because it is a longer appointment and a bigger job. Nobody here has seen your mouth before, so it covers a full look at the teeth, the gums and the soft tissues, X-rays if you need them, and a proper conversation about what you want. After that you are on the £75 recall.

Can the price go up once you have started?

Not on work you have already agreed. If your dentist opens a tooth up and finds more than the X-ray showed, they stop and tell you, rather than carrying on and adding it to the bill. Then you decide.

Is there a cheaper way to pay for routine care?

Possibly. Denplan spreads routine care across monthly payments instead of paying each time you come in. Whether it works out cheaper depends on how much treatment you normally need, and your dentist will tell you honestly if it would not.

How Denplan works here.

Do you offer finance?

Not at this practice. If you want to spread a larger cost, Denplan is the route we have, and it is a membership plan rather than a loan.

How do I find out what my own treatment costs?

Book an examination. That is the only honest way to get a figure, because the list cannot tell you how much tooth is left or how your bite is working. Ring us on 01928 722521.

Get your own figure

Book an examination and you will leave with the cost of your own treatment written down, not a range off a list. Ring us, or send the form and we will ring you back.
